My favorite cuticle creme - Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme Review

Ladies, take a look at your hands. Take a really close look at your cuticles specifically. Have the winters left them dried, cracked and just plain ugly?

Blech, I hateee nasty cuticles. I hate the feel of them, the look, and most of all, I hate when I get hangnails that get caught and rip off. Then you have nasty cracked cuticles with small sores that for some reason, hurt really bad!

I've recently started using  Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme. My cuticles are so soft and moisturized. Plus, the cuticle creme smells fantastic! I really love anything that smells lemon-y and fresh.

So what are the benefits of cuticle creme? One of the reasons you have cuticles is to protect the new nail cells from bacteria and fungus. When your cuticles get dry and icky, you're leaving them open to bacteria. Moisturized cuticles will prevent the nail from becoming infected. I've also heard that it will help your nails grow! I recently took off my artificial nails (gross I know!) so my nails are breaking and splitting every chance they get. Hopefully, Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme will help my nails to grow long and strong :)

Do you use cuticle creme? If so, what's your favorite brand?

  7. I found that regular moisturizing with any type of lotion, oil, etc, will be very effective at making cuticles nice. Even plain baby oil prevents hangnails, etc, provided that you use it a couple of times a day. But the Burt's Bees comes in a handy little container. The stuff is solid and easy to apply with your fingertips. It smells good and contains vitamin E and other nutrients that may make the nails grow stronger. Then again, for $17.97 for 1.8 ounces, good ol' Vaseline might be the better-looking alternative, and probably just as effective.
